Citi introduced early innovations to India such as the ATM, credit card, 24-hour phone banking, internet banking, & instant SMS alerts. On 15th April 2021, Citi announced that it would exit the consumer banking operations in India, Australia, Bahrain, China, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Taiwan, Thailand & Vietnam. The bank said its institutional client group will continue serving customers in these 13 countries.


Responsibilities:

  • Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures & concepts, & basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify & define necessary system enhancements
  • Identify & analyze issues, make recommendations, & implement solutions.
  • Utilize knowledge of business processes, system processes, & industry standards to solve complex issues
  • Analyze information & make evaluative judgements to recommend solutions & improvements
  • Conduct testing & debugging, utilize script tools, & write basic code for design specifications
  • Assess applicability of similar experiences & evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures
  • Develop working knowledge of Citi’s information systems, procedures, standards, client server application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, & PC-based applications
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation & safeguarding Citigroup, its clients & assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules & regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct & business practices, & escalating, managing & reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in programming/debugging used in business applications
  • Working knowledge of industry practice & standards
  • Comprehensive knowledge of specific business area for application development
  • Working knowledge of program languages
  • Consistently demonstrates clear & concise written & verbal communication
